Program Objective


To Prepare Students for GED testing.


UPON COMPLETION A STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
Define and appropriately use the vocabulary listed
Conduct a job search
Secure information about a job
Identify required documents during application
Complete a job application form correctly
Demonstrate competence in a job interview
Identify acceptable work habits
Demonstrate competence in writing resumes
Discuss means of finding employment
Apply correct dress and demeanor for job interviews

GED Test Preparation


The General Education Development (GED) program is sponsored by the American Council on Education.  The General Education Development Examination offers people who did not finish high school the opportunity to earn high school credentials that are recognized as a key aspect of employment opportunities, advancement, further education, and financial rewards.

The General Education Development Diploma is awarded by the American Council on Education after passing the GED exam.

NOTE:  Courses are not necessarily taught in the same order in which they appear on the curriculum outline.  IIST reserves the right to change the curriculum outline.  Currently enrolled students will not be affected by tuition increases.
