The International Institute of Science & Technology was established to provide post-secondary level education to individuals who may not have regular access to specific career advancement programs, or who choose a guided independent study method of learning to achieve their career goals.
IIST is introducing Adult Health and Continuing Education. Allied Health Care programs offered by IIST are approved by the Jamaican Ministry of Education and the American Medical Certification Association of the United States.
The International Institute of Science & Technology's educational programs are based on well-established postulates. Proof of student’s mastery of skills must include performance and application directed toward meeting professional standards.
A primary focus of the educational program must always be to respond to individual needs and to provide for attainment of the education goals of each student. To accomplish this, individual teacher-student interaction is not only promoted by the school, but required by it.
In order for the instructional program to be of maximum value, it must be directed toward teaching current, respected practices in the professions concerned. Up-to-date lessons and course materials are necessary components of such teaching/learning programs.
The methods of instruction utilized must be those that have been proven effective in helping students meet educational goals and performing at accepted standards for desired accomplishment.
Quality educational programs require competent administrative leadership and qualified, experienced faculty in each of the instructional programs. Continued review of the effectiveness of the educational programs and individual student progress must be carried out to determine how well each student is internalizing what is being taught in their course of study.
IIST is committed to ensuring the success of its students and encourages every pupil to achieve their maximum level of success.
